Family mediation is becoming better known and there is currently considerable interest in training as a mediator or finding a placement to undertake placements/observations.
HFM is keen to support the more widespread use of family mediation and would like to play its part in setting and maintaining standards in provision of family mediation.
Training to the high level of competence that HFM offers involves observing, co-working and then leading on cases supported by a qualfied mediator whilst working towards the Family Mediation Council recognition of mediator competence. The demands this places on HFM and its mediators mean that training opportunities are limited.
Engagement as a trainee always follows on open and fair recruitment process.
In April 2011 the Board considered HFM's capacity and current demand for mediation and has decided not to engage any new trainee mediators at this time
News of any vacancies, appointments or training opportunities at Hampshire Family Mediation will be posted on this website as well as on National Family Mediation's website for a minimum of one month, with full details of how to apply etc.
